Now that we have officially moved into the Autumn, or Fall as our Stateside friends call the season, I’m minded of my need to push myself every day. It’s a challenge for me that happens every single year. You see, I’m not a fan of Autumn. I don’t ‘suffer’ from Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD) in the true sense of the condition, but I find it hard to motivate myself during cold, dark mornings and evenings where the daylight is diminished by 4pm.

That’s where my journalling is vital. I make sure that there is no ‘whitespace’ in my day. I make sure that every half hour is accounted for with positive action that will take me a step forward toward my goals and objectives.

This is what keeps me accountable, along with joining a network that tops up my motivation. Spending time with like minded and motivated people is one of the most motivational and practical things that you can do for yourself to ensure personal growth. I also make a point of avoiding Mood Hooverers’ and ‘Calm Harmers’.

I have topped up my Vitamin D for a few months and have some exciting plans to take me through the next months.

What do you do to keep yourself accountable?
